Russian Lip Filler

Russian lip filler is a popular cosmetic procedure that involves injecting a filler substance into the lips to enhance their size and shape. This treatment can help create a fuller, more youthful appearance and boost your confidence. If you're considering getting Russian lip filler, it's important to do your research and choose a reputable provider who can help you achieve your desired results.

Russian Lip Technique

The technique involves injecting tiny droplets of dermal filler into the lip, mainly focused around the centre to achieve the heart-shaped look. Filler is injected vertically into multiple injection points and dragged upward from the base to the top of the lip, rather than horizontally with traditional lip augmentation. Russian Lips are larger in height rather than volume, which requires a longer treatment time due to an increase of product needed to achieve the desired look.

FAQs

How long do Russian lips last? Russian lips could typically last 12 to 18 months. However, you might wish to have a touch up procedure every 6 to 9 months to maintain the results.

Is there any downtime?

This treatment may cause more discomfort than a normal lip filler treatment due to the multiple injection points your injector needs to use.

You can help to minimise this by avoiding alcohol the night before your treatment, using arnica tablets a week prior and a week after your treatment, using an ice pack before and after your treatment and avoiding hot baths, saunas and steam rooms for around 48 hours after your treatment. The swelling, tenderness or bruises are perfectly normal with this technique however and will subside, leaving you with a stunning result.

How long does the swelling last? The swelling will be worst at day 1 and the lips will then settle over the next few days following treatment. However, it can take around 2 weeks for the swelling to completely settle.
